Lobsterman John R. Everett is shown preparing to haul a lobster pot. After using a hook affixed to a long handle to reach the buoy and rope that leads to the uderwater trap he will next put the rope through the pulley (to the right of his head in the picture) and then use a hydraulic pot hauler to help raise the lobster pot to the surface.
